The Madison chair has all the benefits of a specialist care chair, with the additional versatility of the large lockable castors for moving people around.

Its uniqueness lies in the Dual Tilt in Space mechanism combined with the interchangeable pressure management seat and back cushions, with the added advantage of being able to move users around easily.

The Dual Tilt in Space mechanism makes this chair ideal for users with changing deteriorating neurological conditions. It allows for multi positioning of the legs to reduce oedema and fluid retention, leading to increased comfort. The positional options can support users who have problems swallowing as well as those with blood pressure e.g. postural hypotension.

The Madison chair has been designed to support safe manoeuvring and reduce the number of moves required for users who can become distressed or have significant pain during hoisting, including those with Parkinson's Disease, Motor Neurone disease and end of life users including those with cancer.

The chair can be used with either a mobile or overhead hoist to support safe moving and handling techniques for carers.

  • Back Cushions: choose from 6 interchangeable and adjustable pressure management back cushions that enable the chair to be adapted to a single user's changing needs or to adapt the chair to another user. Cushions can be repositioned to suit a user's preferences and fibres can be added or removed from the cushions to adjust firmness
  • Seat Cushions: choose from 8 interchangeable cushions each with different pressure management features
  • Headrest Cushions: choose from 5 detachable headrests all attached with a velcro strap
  • The Madison comes with a dual tilt-in-space mechanism which allows the seat and back angle to remain the same whilst the entire chair is tilted, ensuring the angle of the hips, knees and ankles remain unaffected. This feature also helps with transferring a user in a sling
  • The tilt-in-space mechanism has a rise position. As the seat rises the seat tilts forward slightly, transferring the weight to the knees whilst taking away the pressure from the hips, allowing the user to walk away more easily from the chair
  • The Madison has a weight limit of 127kg (20 stone)
  • The weight limit of the leg rest is 57kg (9 stone)
